... ¿Espantar?

Mmmm...!No¡ De ninguna manera estos amiguitos podrían espantar a alguien, y mucho menos a cuervos hambrientos queriendo robarse el maiz.
Mmmm ...! There's no way these little friends could scare anyone, not even hungry crows who wants to steal corn.

! They look so cute ¡ Did you see that these beautiful scarecrows have become friends with crows? They have one perky one standing on their arms¡¡¡

I fell in love with these beautiful scarecrows, they are a halloween proposal of the blog "Las Tildas de Canelussaka", in which I participate.

As you see, I made three: one for my house where I am living now, one for my house in the beautiful Palenque where my husband lives and the third one as a gift for my good friend Margot. You have seen the beautiful work she published in this space and have to know her a little bit because of that. Margot, again my best wishes for you, always, not only for your birthday I'm glad you liked it and decorate your house already.

I have them in the pots of the fabric cactus I made, and I have already shared them in a previous post. I liked how they look. All the details are beautiful: the sewn straw hat with decorating it, the raffia sticking out of his arms and legs, the beautiful scarf to keep him warm ... well, all I love everything¡¡¡

Put fresh water in a vase...

Today early in the morning returning from leave my daughter at school, a radio song brought back memories of my childhood, or rather my teenage ...
"Put fresh water in a vase,
Take it to your bedside bureau,
if one day your heart feels cold,
remember woman that someone loves you "
I had like 16 or 17 years, at that time I was on Hawaiian dance classes and one of my classmates, Miriam, originally from a very beautiful village of our Yucatan, Tekax, was queen of the village fair or was striving to be , I can not remember, but the fact is that we were invited to dance (hawaiian) at one of the events of the fair.

As you can imagine we take out to know the place! Imagine the teenagers noise that we made feeling free and important walking the streets because we were as artists who was going to give a function, I didn't saw where did a young man come out, or rather a boy about 10 or 11 years old riding a thin horse. He was wearing polyester pants cut up to his knees, an open shirt, barefoot. wearing a farmer's hat; you could tell he was caming from work ... and he in the horse walked next to me and began to sing so loudly that song, "25 Roses" by Joan Sebastian.

Niño a caballo.
Although he is not one of my favorite singers, every time I hear the song, brings me a smile on my lips ... but what I want to share with you was the reaction of my friends. They stepped aside and the comments were, - Ho¡¡ What a  shame. And they made fun by the audacity of this kid, but lovely for me, because he had the courage to sing in front of my friends.  I kept walking with a discreet smile to my young lover until we reach to my friend's house. We were "well girls" I think, we studied in a only for girls school,  with nuns teachers ... maybe for my friends it could be  a compliment if the singer were goodlooking.
For me, it was the most beautiful compliment I have received and 30 later it still is.
Here is the song if you want to heard it...

And speaking of pots and plants ... and crafts today I want to share with you a "cactus" I did, yes I did it  and it is made of fabric. I took the idea of the Blog "Arca de Recuerdos", which also shares with us the pattern here.
http://arcaderecuerdos.blogspot.mx/p/carpeta-de-labores.html

As you see, I made both models and I liked both a lot, but my favorite is the long one, I feel that the darker green fabric looks more real ...

It was a simple task that I enjoyed, but at the end, I was almost cracking with the sewing of the thorns, which were I calculated about 180 or 200 spines stitch one by one. Uff¡¡ I already wanted to finish...

And I'm very happy¡¡ Who knew that I would have a cactus with no need of water¡¡¡

Until next time ... I leave you with another verse of the Joan Sebastian's song ...
"I know, you're very busy with your stuff
and forgive me if I interrupted something
cause I'm, sending you twenty-five roses,
are the hours I think about you everyday "

Galletitas de Jengibre ii

Gingerbread Cookies ¡¡
They are ready ¡ Just out from the oven ... mmm¡¡
To enjoy them with a coffee ...

I should have said ... out of the sewing machine. This Tilda cookies are a "sewing together project" of the blog "Las Tildas de Canelussaka".

So, as you can see I did a lot, well not that much, about twenty, so I'm getting ready for Christmas; they are a beautiful  gifts for friends and family. Don't you think?

Half of them are made of different shades of felt and the other half are made of cotton fabrics in shades of brown. I liked both ways. As you see, I embroidered two crosses instead of buttons and make some decorative stitches in arms, legs and head to simulate sugar. And finally adorned them with little bows and black beads as eyes.

Have a nice Sunday and I'm leaving you with a picture of Trish who went on a spree and make us very worry because she did not sleep two nights at home. But what happy we were when we saw her back home.

Nos vemos pronto...
See you soon ...
